6. Helen's 70th birthday at Karacin, 2-3 July 2016

The UK Ellsons - Oxted, Llangollen and Hayfield - gathered in Knole Park to 'aah' at deer and to eat cake . . .

 

The weather forecast was mixed but it started off fine and bright . . .



. . . time to cut the cake . . .



. . . and of course the rain started . . .

 

. . . but we re-grouped at home and opened the fizz . . .

5. Charlie and Jude visit, May 2016

The new man in the garden . . .

(Pete) 'Sarah, you are not to do that in your garden. Otherwise . . . I will get really cross.'

 



 (Jude) 'Uncle James, there's poo on my shoe.'
(UJ) 'Sheep poo. Doesn't count.'

(Jude) 'Uncle James, does sitting on sheep poo count?'

4. Nick's visit, Jan 2016

Nick came to town in January 2016.

He left Brisbane and its beaches, a temperature of 25C and his flip flops. He dug up his only jumper and bought a hat at the airport.
